by their own admission, Chandler was the inspiration for the story

Ah, thanks. Knowing that really ties the whole thing together.
Sort of like a rug?
They look great!
I must confess I didn´t like Inside Out…
Best ending for a SF series ever!
Slow TV classic.
From the trailer that did get a release, it does seem to me like they were straight up going for an homage to the Troma style of film-making (no-budget, amateurish, campy, borderline (okay… outright!) offensive, etc). Seems to me that it would have a hard time in the modern market for films… I am deeply disappointed, though, as I really wanted to see a Troma movie with certified A-Listers acting in it! The cast is just fucking amazing!
Oh, and people might not remember this, but James Gunn came out of Troma studios. He directed Tromeo and Juliet for example.
Also…
I had not interest in a Tarantino Star Trek movie… maybe I’m in the minority here, but I just don’t find that an interesting combination… even for a Kelvin Universe film…
The thing is that Tarantino only knows how to make Tarantino movies, so I’ll thank him for staying clear of Star Trek. Nothing good could come from this. Possibly interesting in the way how severe accidents can spark a morbid and unhealthy interest, but not good.
Now Star Wars, on the other hand… That just might work.
