The Happy Mutant's Filmgoer's and Video Viewer's Companion

Tony Scott’s True Romance is the better of the QT-written-but-not-directed films. I’ve rewatched that one dozens of times over the years vs Killers maybe twice.

I mean, it’s got Gary Oldman, so, of course!

Just watched this with one of my kids yesterday. They like Buffy, Stranger Things, Donnie Darko, Papergirls (fuck you Jeff) so it seemed a no brainier:

If that sounds like your scene you should probably check it out. Neither of us are quite sure what we think of it yet but we certainly don’t regret watching it.

Watched Hell in the Pacific. Toshiro Mifune and Lee Marvin and a cast of no one else. I would describe it as an arthouse WWII movie. Great ending. And the Lalo Schifrin soundtrack is really remarkable.

Complete movie is on youtube:

CSI Miami and Dexter used to film establishing shots in Long Beach all the time. It was funny to see Palos Verdes peninsula in the background.
