We are all having to get used to the sorts of things that we would have thought unlikely not long ago. I am sure that those folks are just as susceptible as the rest of us.
Anyone in that kind of job in the White House who might think a different Democrat President (especially Clinton) in the existing political climate and without any changes elsewhere would lead to “unlimited power” would be so far beyond delusional that they’d qualify for a padded cell in Arkham Asylum.
In any event, is unsupported speculation about the motives of the leakers really the most important topic about the leaks? Above “is this information true” and “does this information show a serious problem?”
