There definitely is a difference between Asian ear wax and American, although it’s not 100%.
Asian ear was is drier than ours and tends to form sheets instead of blobs. I have typical American wax, it’s a blob. My wife (Chinese) has Asian wax–she has been known to remove fingertip-sized sheets of wax from her ears.
Saw this in a doctors magazine:
Doctor to patient: looks like your left ear is going to need to be syringed out (gets syringe, pokes it in right ear)
Patient: isn’t there something in the middle there doctor?
