I now enjoy the competence porn of watching Kurtis at Cutting Edge Engineering do precision manual machining on large lathes and other gear to repair large construction equipment. I’d never even heard of metal arc gouging before, and his cutting torch work is really clean. Not a substitute for what AvE did, but nicely produced, patient long form videos. Impressive what large repairs a single machinist can do with the right cranes, hoists and other machinery.
I’m hoping they will keep politics out of that channel. Australia has some pretty disagreeable right wing politics I’m hoping won’t come up.
