Yeah, if, as stated

It’s possible that the oxygen even made the trip billions of years ago, when the Earth and Moon were closer to one another.

then that’s a pretty weird definition of “our fault”, seeing as we’re discussing events that possibly took place eons before our ancient ancestors stumbled out of the primordial soup
