The clip is the easy part… What software to you use to get a tablet to behave as a second display? I’ve used Synergy in the past for chaining together Windows and Linux desktops, but it’s not free, doesn’t support tablets and just joins computers rather than acts as a second monitor. None of the applet solutions I found support a Linux client either.
Android has a couple in the store I am on the cusp of trying out, Duet is $10 but Spacedesk seems to be free.
Now to get the tablet charged… I have an old Nexus7 with a bad port which does charge via induction. Or at least it used to…
