Fellow BBers, I’m super excited. I worked on the assembly team (documentation, not engineering) and I’m watching on three screens. This one is 200 lb heavier than Curiosity, so additional challenges to the parachutes… sorry, low-density supersonic decelerators.

I’m super excited too - and just a bystander. Big leaps in space exploration are so rare these days that I get all choked up to see us achieve things like this. Fingers crossed for a good landing.

i just learned that Percy has a pair of microphones on her – that means for the first time we’ll be able to HEAR Mars! :dizzy_face:
