Don’t forget Temple of Doom where the lifeboat not only served as a parachute but then a slide down the glacier and finally a river rafting adventure.

Haha, great call! That scene in Temple of Doom is basically the Citizen Kane of sliding. I mean, they start in the himalayas end up central India if I’m not mistaken…

The Ski Scene in “For Your Eyes Only” gives it a good run for it’s money, but is perhaps the Olympics of slide scenes. An evil biathlete chases Roger moore downhill, off a ski-jump, and through a bobsled track. The subsequent scene is a fight in a hockey rink. If only curling were involved.
