On April 14, retired Missouri teacher Nedra Jeffress, of Independence, wrote a letter to state Rep. Chuck Basye, the Rocheport Republican who is pushing hardest to ban transgender girls from school sports.
The next morning, she received this far less respectful reply:
âNedra, Do your own research. I donât care about your feelings nor do I care about your resume.
âBottom line, my intent is to keep womenâs/girlâs sports for the female gender.
âIf a person was born with a penis, that individual doesnât belong in sports designed solely for females.
âNow go ahead and have your meltdown and/or temper tantrum. Remember, Letâs Go Brandon!!â
Again.
Time to suspend his white privilege card.
Entitled idiot. You just have to declare it and put it in checked baggage. Unloaded and in a TSA approved lockbox, of course. Which you can buy for $15.
It makes me wonder how many times he has gotten away with it, or just received a warning to do it the proper way.
Like his driving without a license, I donât think he ever follows the rules by choice.
âIn the phone call with other Republican leaders on Jan. 10, Mr. McCarthy referred chiefly to two representatives, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Mo Brooks of Alabama, as endangering the security of other lawmakers and the Capitol complex. But he and his allies discussed several other representatives who made comments they saw as offensive or dangerous, including Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Barry Moore of Alabama,â the two reported. âMr. Brooks and Mr. Gaetz were the prime offenders in the eyes of G.O.P. leaders.â
Florida simply cannot promise to prospective bondholders that it wonât interfere with Reedy Creek, and then dissolve Reedy Creek. If Reedy Creek is ever dissolved, it would be a monumental and complicated enterprise even on a years-long timeline. The district has a nine-figure annual budget for expenditures, and even ignoring its various debts, it has a plethora of other contracts that somehow would have to be assigned to and divided between Orange and Osceola counties. However, the dissolution will have to wait until all of its bonds are paid in full.
Virginiaâs attorney general sends a dangerous message to police
From the editorial: âVirginiaâs attorney general, Jason S. Miyares, sent a message to police last week: Donât hesitate to shoot a civilian if you are exasperated, angry or feeling disrespected in the course of any encounter. The stateâs self-styled top cop will have your back.â
I live not far from the makeshift roadside shrine where the killing took place. Itâs a stark reminder that Blue Lives will F you up given the slightest chance.
Next up, DeSantis uses state troopers* to blockade the roads to the special district when he finds he canât dissolve it. One way or another, heâs going to waste taxpayer money and goodwill getting revenge on The Mouse for opposing his hateful law.
Road blockades may be stupid and counter-productive but theyâre quickly becoming a favourite method for the far-right to punish communities and local governments and corporations that defy their initiatives.
[* Or perhaps truckers recuited through some dodgy âgrassrootsâ front group]
Counter demonstration - a hundred thousand parents drop off their very angry, crying kids - half with dirty diapers in the Capitol & his office.
Thereâs the mean man who killed Ariel & Tinker Bell!!!
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has introduced legislation to stop upgrades of security scanners used by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at airports because those upgrades are too trans-friendly.
JFC. Aside from the obvious, itâs weird that he specifies âcivilians.â Because, how would you know if it was an off-duty officer from somewhere else, or an off duty member of the armed forces??? Really he means, feel free to shoot anyone not in uniform.
Fucking Gestapo. Scary.
During a hearing to confirm President Bidenâs recent nomination of Nancy Abudu to the federal bench, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pressed her over her position as the Strategic Litigation Director for the civil rights advocacy group Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which Cruz described as a âhateful and extreme place,â which has led to âhorrific violence.â
âDo you agree with your employer that the Family Research Council is equivalent to the KKK or the Nazi party?â Cruz asked
I know the answerâŚ
She also called the Transgender Day of Visibility âa made-up transgender holidayâ in her press release instead of showing how any of the Biden administration policies would make airport security weaker.
UmâŚarenât all holidays made up?
Everything is an invented traditionâŚ!
