Beats the back of a UHaul.

They did use a UHaul for the shields and stuff.

I think that they’re getting local advice on what they can do and carry, to avoid running into laws, bylaws and transit regs that the police might use against them, if they were so inclined.

True. There are a lot of shared values between the American right and Putin’s Russia, centring mainly around white supremacist authoritarianism. This particular creep’s story stinks of additional assistance, definitely of the financial variety.

I haven’t listened to this but skimmed a little of the transcript and apparently Greenwald has been working to undermine Lua, though he hasn’t supported Bolsonaro yet.

From the transcript
Okay first of all let me tell you something really funny but I don’t think he’s going to go so far as to openly declare support for bolsonaro because that would destroy him in brazil at this point

But indirectly he’s helping bolsonaro this year but you want to hear something hilarious last week he wrote a column for the largest newspaper in brazil

Folio sao paulo pulling the woke identity politics card against lula supporters accusing lula supporters of making homophobic attacks against his husband because his husband supports syragomez

So it’s funny that he spent so much time in english just ridiculing lambasting the trans community whatever people in the us who tried try to use some kind of identity politics

Even if it’s class based identity politics I mean I know that us corporate democrats have a really disgusting version of identity politics but there are legitimate identity based struggles underway in the us

Obviously right and he’s just lambasting the whole time but in brazil it’s almost like he tried to create a bernie bros narrative about pt supporters without any evidence that the people attacking his husband

Without any serious material evidence that these people were connected to the workers party in any way in fact a lot of people in rio de janeiro are mad at his husband david

Because he didn’t win the election for congress he was appointed he came in he got like 17,000 votes or something which was enough to be put on standby in case any congress

Member of the political party paul who is a congressperson left to do anything else and so john willys left the country because he was getting all these death threats

And so david miranda was appointed congressman for a specific political party and then like one year before the end of his mandate he left that party

So a lot of people from that party pistol are furious with him him because he kind of like betrayed the mandate really especially since that party

The pastel has come out in support of lula in this election and so he’s benefiting from being appointed by the pistol party but he went to a party that’s working against lula

So that means that he has been criticized a lot I mean I’ll use glenn’s own rhetoric here he’s being criticized by people exercising their right to free speech

Why doesn’t glenn defend their free speech rights but it’s hard to make the connection that they’re related to the workers party in any way another thing glenn has been doing this year is defending people who are illegally supporting the idea of creating a nazi party in brazil

Nazism is illegal in brazil and glenn got really quickly on board with defending these people from the far right who are trying to destroy brazil’s anti nazi legislation

But whatever it’s a lot of stuff to talk about back to your question I don’t think he’s going to actually come out and say I support jair bolsonaro

He’s just going to tap dance around while he’s trying to damage louis candidacy

Wow! Must be nice to get a polite, armed, tax-payer funded escort to your vehicles after a demonstration.
I’m sure BLM and women’s rights activists get the same special security.
Fucking hell.

Trumpists always strike me as not only fascist and authoritarian, but specifically monarchists seeking to install Trump as king rather than president. I have no doubt at all that they would have volunteered for the British Royalists in 1776.

I’m not sure that’s fair. I know people like to make the revolutionaries into great heroes, but a lot of the grievances against the king were things like treaties keeping them from expanding over the Natives, or concerns about preserving slavery. Are you sure the Trump supporters are less akin to that than to the loyalists, who you may remember are the people who settled such a cruel place as Ontario?

Cool cool cool. I think that’s a great idea on one condition: That he be able to name everyone who died on or as a result of the Jan 6. Insurrection correctly and without help.
