I donât generally deign to speak for all Black âanybodyâ, but in this case Iâll make a small exception.
âA Black womanâ would typically have more sense of self preservation than Babbittâs dumb ass; most of us have a lifetime of experience actively trying to not get killed by authorities.
Most of us donât run headfirst into a situation where we know itâs not only likely but damn near inevitable that we will be shot and/or killed.
The vast majority of us do not suffer from the delusion that unearned privilege will protect us from our poor life choices.

That crystallizes a thought that had been fluttering around in the back of my head since the video of Babbit breaking through that window and being shot by Capitol police came out. Babbit thought she was wearing bulletproof plot armor while she was breaking in, and was geniunely surprised when it failed to protect her.

An Illinois man has been charged with two class 4 felonies â one hate crime charge, one criminal damage to property charge â after he allegedly vandalized a bakery that was set to host a kid-friendly drag brunch, breaking windows and spray painting âGroomers,â âFâs rape kids,â and âChrist is King" on the building.
I am getting so fucking tired of this shit already and this âPanicâ is just getting started.
The fact is, the Right doesnât really have anything else. They have no policies, they support nothing that would actually help anyone, and the only things they ever have to be mad about are things they made up themselves. These people did not just find out about drag queens a few months ago, and they know no one is being forced to take their kids to drag brunch. They think they have finally landed on an argument that allows them to let their homophobic freak flags fly, an argument that allows for (what they imagine is) a certain amount of plausible deniability that they really are just a bunch of homophobic freaks trying to force everyone to follow their religion. And theyâre too daft to realize how extremely transparent they are.
