This is the perfect ruler because no one ever has to measure something vertically, or horizontally along a side, or on a horizontal surface that is bumpy, like a yard, with grass and rocks.
Look, I’m sorry, but I really don’t want an $80 ruler that will eventually suffer from dead batteries, cannot get wet, is small enough to be easily lost, and can break with rough treatment. I’ll go with my cranky old sticks and tape measures.
Both decimal and fractional inches? Very nice.
Or God forbid inside corner to inside corner. That never happens
For $80 you could get a conventional tape measure, a ruler, a flexible fabric tape measure, digital calipers and a laser tape measure.
As well as a rolling measure setup.
Congratulations, you’ve invented a tiny, useless trundle wheel with a digital display.
What happened to Rollova 1.0?
Maybe the newer Beethoven model will address these issues.
Yeah, revolutionary. Something like this has never existed before!
(Btw, for those above that say rolling rulers are useless: they’re a specialised tool for measuring distances on paper maps, i.e. following streets or contours. Obviously, selling them as a replacement for a straight ruler is ridiculous and if they want to sell a digital one it had better have common map scale conversions built in.)
My guess is people said “make it smaller so I can measure into corners”
By my yardstick it’s a waste of money.
Buy a caliper.
2 bucks cheaper for the one which doesn’t need batteries.
Dollar for dollar, the best investment I ever made for household project work.
Considering the last few ads, I’m beginning to wonder if these items are being added specifically because they are freaking insane.
I eagerly await the paper raincoat advertised next week. (Yes, I know they used to make paper coats…I may have had one).
An opisometer we called it, back in the day.
