I always imagined that a WASP planet would rain Martinis.

Tungsten umbrellas? Surely a sufficiently large and strong portable magnetic field generator could create a safe haven beneath the steely rain?

Is it irony if I comment on how metal this is?

Or guitar solos.

Iron loses it’s magnetism over a certain temp. Molten iron is not magnetic at all.

Only if — after making your comment – you visited that planet, only to discover that it didn’t rain iron. “Irony” should be a ‘bitch’.

Solar erosion, shiny. I wonder if there are iron sand dunes around the twilight zone on this planet.

Mercury is also in a tidal locked orbit with our Sun but not a 1:1 ratio like the moon and Earth. Also it is close enough to the Sun to be very rich in metals because of solar destruction of the less sturdy stuff.

Am I the only one that instantly thought of Mega City Four?

How long has this been going on?

I don’t know, but it’s sounds like an Ace place, eh?

Refusing to link to any umbrella-related songs, maybe we need a parasol? (It IS a bit metallic-sounding, too.)
