Oh boy. 2.4GHz wireless? Looks like a real winner. /s
You’d be better off investing in a MoCA repeater or running Ethernet.
I bought two or three similar devices, they were no help. Tried a new router with more/fancier antennas. No dice. Domestic discord.
I bought Google home mesh wifi. Expensive, but now we have awesome coverage throughout the house and several yards away from the house, in the yard, street, etc. And everyone in the house is happy. You can also use the Google wifi controls to turn off ethernet to kids bedrooms at certain times.
Plus no more family complaints about crummy wifi
… Priceless!
I bought one of these and running on WiFi just wasn’t strong enough. I now run it off an ethernet cable and it is stronger and more reliable, for the price they are worth it.
