Not sure where Rob is getting his $50 or so figure. In good condition I’m seeing around the $200 mark. $120+ for broken ones for parts. These costs are not likely to decrease with time. Tape is still very popular with audio recording. A good reel-to-reel adds some delicious analogue flavour to the recording process.
