I did an interview with him back in the early 2000s - picked him up at the Glendale train station and spent the better part of an evening trying to help him find his hotel (he had forgotten where he was staying) - which was a whole crazy adventure… In terms of living up to his persona (crazed, grizzled old miner) he did not disappoint.
