The fake locomotive that “pushes” the coaster outputs steam when it’s in the station. A simple effect provided by a pipe under the train in the station area, but still neat. I wish the Big Thunder Mountain locomotives had that too.

There’s an electromagnet that keeps the “anti-rollback” mechanism under the train cars lifted as long as the train is moving forward. So you don’t get the classic rollercoaster “clack-clack-clack” noises when it goes up the lift and it helps you maintain the suspension of disbelief that you’re actually on a train.
