studying outliers is extremely useful. measuring difference, and trying to understand the why of the difference can give deep insight into the way systems work.
maybe, for instance, if there’s a reason for terminal lucidity there could be ways to induce it. ( the lucidity mind you, not the terminal. though, i’m sure the combination would make a very particular subset of estate lawyers very happy… )
