There is something very 70’s/80’s about children’s toy tie ins to shows that were definitely not for kids.
That show got a lot of love from people working in radio IRL. The episode about the Ratings Book is considered the most accurate depiction to how its treated.
One of my favorite sitcoms of all time.
Holy carp this toy had a 5-Year warranty! Nothing comes with that kind of warranty today.
I see what you did there…
220, 221, whatever it takes.
beer?
Kids only got Saturday mornings!
This seems like an apt place to share this, if I haven’t posted it on BB previously:
Oh yeah, I enjoyed that mp3
They also got shows that were a bit childish like Dukes of Hazzard, Alf, The Incredible Hulk, The Brady Bunch…
Apparently my memory is faulty: VF was its own company, according to this page.
They also made Michael Jackson turntables and Walkman-like tape players, along with a Fonz radio shaped like a jukebox.
AFAIK, no relation to the Vanity Fair that, until a few years ago, used to own Lee Jeans (now enshittified).
I still want a Show N Tell machine from my childhood.
