On a serious note, the art is utterly delightful. I don’t quite care for the movie these days but this book really makes the story feel pretty fresh. Now i wonder what it’d be like as an animated feature

I’m fond of the movie but I wonder what kids of today would make of it. Things like the Speak and Spell would just seem bizarre to them (why is the speech synthesis so bad and why is it a physical thing and not just an app?)
