An absolutely staggering piece of writing.

And yet, here we are. 57 years into the future and justice and equality are still unobtainable for so many. The words of Dr. King ring as urgently today as they did back then. We must continue to demand action be taken not tomorrow, next week, or next year – but today. Thank you for reminding us our work is not yet done.

Why don’t they see it?
Why don’t they feel it?

Oh but my country is full of lies
We’re all gonna die and die like flies
I don’t trust you any more
You keep on saying “Go slow!”
“Go slow!”

[Refrain]
But that’s just the trouble
“do it slow”
Desegregation
“do it slow”
Mass participation
“do it slow”
Unification
“do it slow”
Do things gradually
“do it slow”
Will bring more tragedy
“do it slow”
Why don’t you see it
Why don’t you feel it
I don’t know
I don’t know
