Yeah, Barcelona is a bit of a letdown, very crowded and honestly just unpleasant. The Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are worth seeing, but you don’t need to spend too much time there. If you want to visit a beach city in the historically Catalan region, Valencia is very nice (Ciudad Valencia, in the region of Valencia). Otherwise, there’s a lot more to see in the south than the east.

In Spain i have been to Sevilla, Cordoba and San Sebastian (with a small detour to Pamplona).
I am already booked for Barcelona, the CNN article arrived too late for me. We’ll see…
