I was watching a video which included Bernie Saunders talking to a young man in a chair who had to use speech synthesis to speak.
That Stephen Hawking 2.0 Speak’n’Spell voice has some gravitas, thanks to Stephen Hawking, but with this and some samples from before, perhaps they could sound more like themselves?
That might be a good option to offer.

i recall hearing rogert ebert had someone working on something like that for him before he died using samples from the many hours of commentary tracks he’d recorded. (because obviously he couldnt talk at the end of his life but could think and write quite clearly)
