You’re not the only one. It’s just such a plausible concept. If it doesn’t exist, you can’t help feeling that it ought to. It’s actually a huge let-down to see it finally crapped out as an unimaginative promotion for the movie. Someone could have written it in the spirit of what it was originally supposed to have been, but now that ship has passed.
Mad Men did a similar thing with Sterling’s Gold, which is just a compilation of Roger Sterling’s one-liners from the series, rather than a fleshed-out memoir (which would have been awesome).
Amazon has versions of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased from Beetlejuice, though none of them seem particularly compelling.
