The People’s Temple Party
Vaccination Passports are super- iffy and this right wing Thermos-head really is pissing me off.
Because now, because of this, the ‘rational’ and the ‘centrists’ and even some who would like to be on the left but lack leaders, will rally behind the vaccine passports just like they rallied behind the gadnabbit FBI back in 2016 for crying out loud. Result: again those whose clout helped them cut the line, will stay first in line.
For jobs, for instance.
How about you need a vaccine passport to enter a detention center?
But you see, that enables MTG to later claim “victory”, when the passports never happen.
I guess it’s a fine balance there. They do really want to stick it to people not of their demographic, sure. But they have to abide by the paranoiac insecurities of their demographic.
Sure, if they made an effort and sold the idea, they could get away with it, they could save lives. But why take the risk of being turned into a meme by the QAnon Army and labeled as a stooge of George Soros & the Democrats?
And, after all, they and their family have been vaccinated (probably way ahead of most people). Therefore, best to take the easiest/safest route (for themselves): to do nothing.
You’ll never penetrate the bubble. It’s bubbles all the way down.
Definitely going to have to form three free Krispy Kreme doughnuts into “666” in honor of this post.
Republicans: Restricting freedoms to those who carry a government-issued document is the work of the Antichrist and no patriotic American should stand for it!
Democrats: So you’re opposed to voter ID laws?
Republicans: That’s different! We need those to stop poor Black people from participating in elections!
Sorry for going off-topic * cough *
It fits the narrative of the poor persecuted white Christians well.
And you can defund public education only so much.
