Transmit Bluetooth audio from your TV to your wireless headphones with this adapter

My cheapo RCA TV only has an optical digital audio output. I bought from EBAY an adapter to analog RCA (why isn’t an RCA TV compatible with RCA?) but it turns out the TV output is mini-TOSLINK so I needed to buy another adapter (just a piece of clear plastic). It didn’t work, but by the time the second adapter arrived it was too late to complain about the first one.

I bought a knock-off cheapo bluetooth transmitter like this one:

I plug it into the 3.5mm headphone jack and power it with a USB from the back of my tv and transmit to the wireless headphones of my choice.

Works especially well on airplanes with seatback entertainment systems. I can stay wire-free by just plugging this little guy into the headphone jack on the armrest.
