If Cuomo resigns/is kicked out, what are the chances a Republican could become governor in NY state?
That would be a Trump wet dream. Trump and his gang would be up for pardons for their NY crimes.

I think New Yorkers have run out of patience with Republicans, so no.
“We can’t hold members of our party responsible for their actions because that could provide an opportunity for the opposition party to seize power” is the worst possible take, and one of the many reasons most of the country hates the Republican party these days. We can and must do better.
