I always go to Don Rickles as my favorite insult comic,.i believe he was a few years older than Joan.

There is an animated series from the 90s, quasi-anime, called Reign the Conqueror, a fantastical telling of the story of Alexander the Great. Diogenes is in it (among other philosophers) and let’s just say, his characterization is awesome. 
I see that the DVD set has gotten pretty pricy, but quite worth it! Also seems to be on some streaming sites, if you search for it. By Peter Chung, the guy behind Aeon Flux. Very Gnostic/Vedantic illuminati crazy shit – the Pythagoreans are basically shape-shifting alien hybrid cultists, LOL amazeballs!
