There’s going to be some very good fishing in that creek. A lot of salmon in a smaller body of water.

You nailed the potential problem: resources. That’s a LOT of fish for a creek, especially dumped in one area. The good news is that, since these are salmon smolts and it’s spring, they are going to immediately be migrating out to the ocean. If these were resident trout, they’d quickly max out the resources of the creek and begin starving.
