Trump said Americans who died in war are "losers" and "suckers" according to The Atlantic

And to think those were the “good old days” that repubs claim were so great that we need to go back to… seems if that was their goal, they should start with returning to the party platform they had then.

Clearly the suckers and losers are people that vote for trump.

And more.

Not content with condemning Trump for his failure to join in on the slaughter of Vietnam, libs are now going after him because of his ancestors’ lack of commitment to German militarism.

Without fail, these folks will always find a way to ignore Trump’s real evils and instead try to attack him from the right. If it was the 1930’s, they’d be claiming that Hitler was part of a secret Jewish plot to undermine the glorious German Reich.

Heinlein claimed afterwards that there were civilian paths to citizenship, but that’s not supported by the text of the book.

I have often said that if they ever “won” — if they defeated and rid themselves of all the folks they hate — then by the end of the week they’d be murdering each other for having eyes the slightly wrong shade of blue.

Some people can only define themselves by what they are in opposition to, and that requires an “other” to war against, even if it has to be manufactured.

I am sure he’d like us to keep our eyes on China, so we don’t pay attention to the ongoing abuse our soldiers face from the Russians in Syria. When was the last time those soldiers were even mentioned by Trump? I guess he is keeping to the Kremlin script.

Yep, every single one of those countries defending themselves against fascism in WWII.

Total wankers.

Yes, he’s commander in chief of the armed forces in name only, but only because he’s an incompetent, draft-dodging, spoiled rich man’s son.

The witnesses to his slimy disrespect of American war dead should come forward, even at risk to their careers, so this travesty of leadership can be deposed. He committed treason against his country and his position when he discouraged voluntarism in the military by disparaging both enlistees and the men and women who died doing the job they volunteered to do, which was defending the freedom of all Americans, even if that freedom is still embattled in Black and immigrant (volunteer American) communities.

Atlantic, Lorene Jobs, please ask these sources to come out in the open so we can applaud them and support them.

Media, including liberal media as well, have soft pedaled and coddled him with white gloves for 45 years. I don’t EXPECT much to change. But it sure would be nice if they’d go on the warpath against him for once. I hate that fucking guy. I’ve never hated a politician as much as this guy. He is easily a thousand times worse than a Bush or Reagan.

BTW, if you’re wondering how the GOP base are responding to Trumpian criticism of the “heroic” [1] John McCain…

[1] AKA corrupt, racist, misogynistic, incompetent beneficiary of nepotism, war criminal, etc. etc.

It would be problematic to refer to these events as “combat”

He opposed the God Emporer, and was therefore a heretic. This sound very real to me.

Please stop calling him that, even in jest.

Words have power.

Romney too. In less than four years both men went from

“This is the person we believe is best suited to promote and represent Republican values in the highest office in the land!”

to

“This person (curse his name) was NEVER a real Republican and in fact was a traitor to his country who stood for everything our party hates!!”

It’s like watching one of the Soviet purges.

True enough. I’ll go back to Il Douche.

Here’s an essay (on the Heinlein society website) that claims Heinlein was mistaken.

Heinlein’s protestations were transcribed in the Extended Universe-- somewhat of a shame that it wasn’t developed into short story. But I suppose that he was too ill.

Back to topic. All vets and those currently serving should vomit at Tramp’s words. Disgust is the minimum response. Voting is next.
