I like your analogy of the prime time pulpit, fair point. And really these people already have their weird, violent corner of the web carved out, Trump being there with them keeps them all together and easier for the FBI to gather intel.

Letting them congregate together is exactly how they were allowed to grow so dangerous.
As for gathering intel, the insurrectionists planned this week’s attempted coup in plain view of everyone and the FBI was either powerless or unwilling to stop it.

Has anyone else gotten an ad on YouTube from NTD with this Trump speech on it?
I guess it was the same one posted before he got permanently banned, so I suppose NTD is courting Trump for the dissemination of more of his dog-whistles.

If you are fleeing communism in 2021 then going to China is your best bet. They have abandoned all aspirations of socialism since 2001 in favour of authoritarian capitalism.

This is such an important point that doesn’t get made often enough.
You can’t fix people like this (until they someday choose to let go of their hate). The way you keep them from destroying this nice society we’re trying to have is by marginalizing them. If you let them concentrate, they organize, they embolden each other, and they radicalize new people who stumble in.
It’s only relatively recently that it has become so easy for these groups to concentrate online, and we’re witnessing the result.
