There are several likely reasons for this, from venues denying him access for fear of not being paid, to his advisors urging him to strategically hang back as they attempt to gather dirt on the Primary opponents. Or could it be that he’s now realized that between the angry Left, and the angry, betrayed, and armed Right, it’s the latter that more likely would love to see him out in the open.
