Trump’s support by white Christian Evangelicals just proves what those who study the movement have said for years - the culture isn’t based on the religion so much as a love of authoritarianism. It’s been the church of the Republican party since the '60s, when it, along with the party, crystallized around anti-civil rights positions. I’m pleased that the truth is finally out there in the open, incontrovertible.

It’s more akin to hiring from the people who got kicked off the AAA farm team for assault and/or betting on their own games.
These people are far more malevolent than they are incompetent.
