Trump's social media platform launches, for some

If it lasts long enough, how long before their upstream provider gets rid of them due to negative press?

Gab, Gettr, Parler, how many are there now?

Apparently there’s about 8 of them right now. All vying for the small market of right-wingers who actually want abuse-filled social media with few other users.

They’re delaying it so that Trump can rollout his infrastructure plan.

they did successfully use them - including the not yet mentioned zello - to help organize the 1/6 coup attempt, and probably the recent fascist action in canada

so those apps are serving the intended purpose

Can’t wait to see a copy of the ToS so I can see the actual truth of this “social media platform”.

I don’t want to rain on the schadenfreude parade or anything, but when the media starts breathlessly reporting on every turd that falls out of TFG’s account, as they have the for the past 6 or so years, we could be absolutely fucked.

That will be the fault of the corporate media. Sunlight remains the best disinfectant but it’s only the first step. As Cory noted the other day, it needs to be followed by action. In the media’s case, it should not be reporting on it breathlessly but rather critically.

[Note to all that this should not be moved to the dedicated sunlight topic as it is on-topic and not claiming the media should ignore his turds]

Oh my. The technological laziness at hand here is impressive even for Trump affiliates. Here’s part of a thread breaking it all down:
