I was going to post the news report to get it debunked by someone here. I’m sure someone could have. But pretty much straight away I saw the video of it being dug. So the hoax lasted for a few hours only.

That hole isn’t even shaped like an impact crater. The hole’s shape is basically cylindrical instead of conical and lacks radial ejecta streaking surrounding it. The guy might be an “astrophysics enthusiast” but he should study up on impact crater formation.
