The passing similarity of “We’re Not Gonna Take It” to “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” led to fuckwit Australian mining magnate Clive Palmer claiming that his “Aussie’s not Gonna Cop It” political ads weren’t a ripoff of copyrighted material, and that Palmer himself was actually a creative songwriter. Even a billionaire couldn’t make that nonsense stick in court, and he had to pay $1.5M to Snyder and co.
