Tylenol can "ward off existential dread of death and nothingness"

I think it’s a good thing if for no other reason than it’s a non-habit forming anxiety reliever. Smoking a bowl when you’re stressed is much better than taking a xanax - it’s not habit forming and I don’t have the weird groggy feeling the next day benzos give.

Don’t count on that. Human brains are flexible little buggers. And just because something works in this generation, for this decade doesn’t mean it will still work in the next (epigenetics are FUN!) or continue working over time. (We’re already seeing SSRI resistance.)

Not addictive is not proven, and addiction is not the same as dependence. Not addictive for persons with previously regarded as typical neurochemistry is a reasonable hypothesis, but if the acetaminophen-developmental brain hypothesis is true, reuptake inhibition or supplementation may only work short term, or make behavioral issues worse. (Since we know that certain SSRIs & SNRIs are contraindicated for severe depression, because they improve depression just enough to allow sufficient motivation to act on suicidal ideation — there’s no reason to expect other neurotransmitter systems to be significantly different.)

If a bowl works for you, that’s great. You are an anecdote, and not even a datum, since your consumption is not controlled, logged, monitored and examined. (This is my issue with MMJ boosters. No rigor, they pretend bad experiences don’t count. Boostering = confirmation bias.)

Sorry, but I push like this on all drugs. Nobody gets a pass just because they happen to like the one they use.

Wow that’s a lot of text in response to someone on the autistic spectrum sharing a treatment that has worked for them.

Many scientific studies have shown marijuana consumption is safer than alcohol consumption, sorry my use of an anecdote touched a nerve but I’m going to stand by my assertion it is better to consume cannabis than take a Xanax.
