This has interesting EU common market implications. Both trying to lock out non-compliant mainland European software and trying to enforce this EU-wide will be really tricky.

In 2012, when the first of such powers were drafted, the main developer of Freenet added a script which enabled all users to verify whether what was released is actually what built from the source.
