UK Parliament to hold inquiry into algorithmic transparency

Unfortunately the only MP in the ruling party likely to have much understanding of it is David Davis (CS graduate), and he’s currently working on the impossible task of negotiating leaving the EU. The idea of someone trying to explain algorithmic transparency to the likes of say, Jacob Rees-Mogg or Peter Bone is to say the least, interesting.

Algorithms writ large, with a clear political intent.

Cory, this was inspired by the Sense about Science lecture you gave a few years ago and the need to get people better informed about unaccountable black boxes in their lives!

(Anyone interested can listen to that lecture here).
