How much do I want that keyboard. What is it?
That is The 433% Keyboard
Thank you!
I type a lot during online meetings - because I’m taking notes to refer to them later. It would be handy to have this type of utility for Windows 10. Even better would be having it as an option in Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Seems kind of dumb to write a utility, a fairly simple one at that, which is incompatible with all but the most current MacOS (11).
I guess they saw this as a good opportunity to experiment with some of the newer developer features in Big Sur:
Unclack is built entirely using SwiftUI for macOS Big Sur and above. I loved the experience building a small, focused experience in SwiftUI that I could quickly deploy and share for free. I hope you enjoy it and share it with your clacky-keyboard-owning friends!
Nice of them to offer their personal project up for free, in my opinion. Supporting older versions of macOS would’ve been extra work.
I’m hoping someone will create something like Nvidia’s RTX Voice running on Apple’s Neural Engine. That would solve the keyboard noise problem and other types of background noise besides, without the issue of needing to manually disable it when you actually need to talk while typing.
My ancient Lenovo laptop lets me type clicklessly. Screw Apple.
So does my Mac. The developer of this tool said they made it for dealing with a very loud third-party external clicky keyboard, not the one built into a laptop.
Your Unclack utility is no match for my IBM AT keyboard!
Am I the only one struggling to install it?
Running Mojave if that matters.
I just mute when doing things, like, I dunno, commenting on BB.
