Gawd! Reminds me of when I went into my teen sister’s room to retrieve my loaned copy of The Godfather. I didn’t know that she and one of my cousins had returned from shopping and were “playing” fashion show in there. The scream: “NOOOOOO!!”

During the mid-80s I saved and saved until I could procure a ridiculously expensive Estée Lauder white cream makeup compact wif sponge. It was sposed to be used only as a concealer thingy, but of course it was my foundation. I liked using ash from spliffs for “blush” under my cheekbones and jaw.
