Shot in the dark, based on Correia being a Portuguese name, and Brazil being the nearest Portuguese-speaking nation of any size. And also because the Constable Savage sketch is one of my favourites and I like having an excuse to watch it again.
A NYT reporter decided to report on the state of airline travel today.

To understand the forces defining air travel in America today, I spent eight days crisscrossing the country in economy class. Four airlines. Twelve flights (half of them delayed). Twelve cities. Twelve cups of tomato juice. Three trips through whole-body scanners. One alarming use of the words “groin area.” Eight testy conversations with authority figures. One lost bag. Two broken entertainment systems. And a reporter who went a week without washing her hair.
Now try that experiment while flying brown/black/Muslim and report back. Being Hispanic but vaguely looking like i could be Indian or Middle Eastern i have been picked many a time for “random additional screenings”. I’ve never been treated with anything but respect and courtesy but i am always keenly aware of the possibility of being screened again. One of the last times this happened i was with my wife, who is white, and we were clearly going through security together and when they “randomly” picked me they tried separating my wife from me telling her she did not need to come along. She was upset about it but i’m used to it.
