This does sound like a great prank - a real wizard wheeze.
Sadly, I find Mr McIntyre’s relentless cheery enthusiasm too wearing to be able to watch it.
(Yes, semi-pro curmudgeon in the house.)
One massive advantage McIntyre has, is that he isn’t Ricky Fucking Gervais.
Yeah, but the entire rest of the world has THAT advantage.

I must say that I get more laughs from reading the inventive and humorous comments on BB than I do from most professional comedians… though I do appreciate the fuck out of Stewart Lee.
No love for Frankie Boyle?
So long as he has a script editor.
I have memories of Mel Smith doing a skit on Not The Nine O’Clock news sending up Antiques Roadshow, back in the 1980’s, where some one brought in a McDonald’s burger.
I like that they didn’t play with his emotions too much, and say one of his antiques was worth something over 100k. That would’ve been just mean.
His regular Observer column is a joy and keenly anticipated (will it be him or will it be David Mitchell, this week, we ask ourselves every week…)
