It’s the strangest thing; before I went to bed last night, I swear her stamp had a picture of Mount Hood in the background.

I do believe that is where I first encountered the concept of ‘safeword.’

Mount Hood?

I’m so buying a sheet of those for the library’s postage!

The Lathe of Heaven. Although the 1980 video adaptation for PBS was indeed my first introduction to the concept of Portland, Oregon (yet it was filmed in Dallas!).

The safeword used in the film (I won’t spoil it, for fear of altering reality further) is still lodged in my brain, along with the iconic imagery, pioneering for its time on a low budget.
