Thank goodness. I came to remark at the idiocy of taking source material from cassette and releasing it on vinyl. Nobody has convinced me this vinyl emperor is wearing a single stitch, and this just reinforces my default conclusion that it’s more about style than substance.
You don’t need anything substantial anymore if you sell music. But if you want to package it in a festive way you might as well go with the format with the nicest sleeve.
I think this is the main reason for the vinyl revival
That, and vinyls inherent flaws make it impossible to compete in the loudness war without the stylus jumping all over the place.
