US intel chief's insane new secrecy directive forbids intel employees from "unauthorized" contact with reporters

How the hell is this “insane”? Hell, I work for a computer company and it has rules forbidding employees from talking to reporters about company finances, plans, etc. unless they have written permission. I think the guy who wrote this blurb needs a reality check and sense of proportion.
