Has anyone done one of these? I’m just wondering how well true people in need are separated from simple greedy people. I have inlaws who signed up in the past for gifts for families “in need” and they were anything but.
I give locally several thousand plus extra around Christmas and Thanksgiving to my local food pantry/financial assistance group. I know they vet people pretty well because once in the past I was there, asking for help. Since then, as soon as I was able, I’ve been paying that back that moment of kindness in any way I can.
