and – unfortunately – the slave patrols thing got extended with the end of segregation. i don’t know about this school district’s police department – but with miami dade as an example: they started up back when the schools were forced to integrate.

one thing i liked seeing was that after all the nationwide protests about racism and policing… the cw changed their shows!
- batwoman changed from the focus on the private security firm, and sophie(?) stopped working there.
- supergirl stopped working with the deo – and had a… super… episode about racism and white privilege called blind spots ( which even ended with a shot of alex picking through several anti-racism books that were sitting with their titles clearly visible )
- flash’s adoptive dad stopped working as a cop, and they talked about some of the problems with the department.
it was… a good step.
