VA health system has ordered $300,000 worth of body bags for COVID-19 victims

I think they just mean you don’t need to buy an extra gadget to seal it. The other biosafe body bag they have is heat sealed, so you need a giant version of one of those kitchen vacuum sealers.

Its like a man sized Sous Vide!

Might be like those self-sealing or self-fusing tapes.
Which would mean that (re)opening and re-sealing isn’t really an option, which would make sense for a body bag. Not practical for a storage bag.

Pretty much what I was thinking but the process of sealing it yourself before you dropped off this mortal coil was confusing me!

So I guess if you’ve got a dry cough and the sniffles, run the bath, get your thermometer in, jump in the bag and give yourself a good four to five hours, depending on how lean or fatty you are.

Perhaps we don’t need a mask for this?

Perhaps all you need is a snap lock seal as this will keep the freshness in.

I’m thinking single use. Not sure if re-opening is desirable.
